Pre-Kindergarten Curriculum
Melissa’s Private Preschool’s Pre-Kindergarten program
utilizes a comprehensive reading and language arts program. The
curriculum focuses on reading, handwriting, and auditory and oral language
skills. Students work through a set of 26 letter books learning to
identify and write each letter, identify the sound each letter makes and
blend those sounds together to form words. Supplemental worksheets,
exercises and projects emphasize each letter giving children practice and
experience while developing essential reading and language skills.

the Pre-K math program. Students reinforce number recognition and
counting to 100, as well as develop essential skills in measuring,
beginning geometry, and concepts of time and money.

The Pre-K program would not be complete without the
creative areas of art and music, fun and exciting science exploration and
